Skelly
Skelly is an animated short film developed as the thesis project of my Master at BigRock.
It tells a simple, light-hearted story set in a cemetery, following a small skeleton drawn to a mysterious flower, with an intentionally playful and minimal narrative.
This project was the first large-scale production of the Master program, involving the entire class and simulating a real cinematic production environment, from initial concept to final delivery.
My Role
I worked in the Texturing Department, where I created textures for multiple assets, closely following the visual guidelines and concepts provided by the concept art team.
In the later stages of production, I transitioned to the Editing Department, where I was fully responsible for the compositing and final editing of the short film.
Production
Students were divided into dedicated departments (concept, modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, editing), working within a structured production pipeline.
The project was designed to mirror a professional studio workflow, emphasizing collaboration, deadlines, and inter-department communication.
