Scila e il drago Diamante
CREDITS
This project is the thesis short film of a Master program at BigRock, created after I had completed my studies.
In this case, I took part in the production as a Supervisor, rather than as a student.
The short film tells the story of a young girl who befriends a dragon.
My involvement focused specifically on the design and production of the end credits sequence.
Supervision & Creative Direction
I supervised the Credits Department, guiding students throughout the creative and technical process.
The team had complete creative freedom, allowing us to design the credits entirely from scratch.
We conceived the credits as a single continuous camera shot set in the protagonist’s bedroom, using environmental storytelling and focal points to reveal names organically within the scene.
Hands-on Contribution
In addition to supervision, I actively contributed to production by handling:
Modeling and texturing of secondary assets
Animation of the pop-up book used to display CG credits
Motion graphics, such as UI-style elements appearing on the game board
I collaborated on camera movements and lighting, both developed in Unreal Engine.
I handled the final editing and color grading in After Effects, adding subtle effects to enhance the final presentation.
