In this project, I show my entry for the Meet Mat 4 contest, a global digital texturing competition that challenges artists to create compelling, photorealistic surface art on a predefined 3D model using Adobe Substance 3D tools.

The provided model could not be altered topologically in anyway, so all additional details, surface complexity and visual depth had to be achieved exclusively through texturing.

The contest is recognized worldwide as a benchmark for material artistry and a showcase for emerging talent.

I created a drill-inspired interpretation of the Meet Mat asset, focusing on industrial materials such as painted metal, plastic, rubber, and mechanical components.

All displacement and height maps were custom-made in Adobe Illustrator, allowing precise control over shapes, engravings, panel lines, and mechanical details.

You can see the full project on my The Rookies entry.
