Mystic Temple

This project is my very first 3D project, created during my training at BigRock School.

The scene was developed by combining two existing concepts, used as visual references to create a cohesive and original diorama.

This project was created as a full pipeline learning exercise, with the goal of understanding and managing the entire 3D workflow from start to finish.Throughout the project, we worked across all stages of production, taking care of every aspect of the scene development.

Workflow Breakdown

  • Modeling: All assets were modeled in Maya, focusing on clean shapes and basic environment construction.

  • Sculpting: Additional details and surface refinement were sculpted in ZBrush to enhance realism and visual interest.

  • Texturing: Textures were created in Substance Painter, working on stone, vegetation, and material variation.

  • Environment:  The environment was set up in Unreal Engine 5 using existing assets for the scene composition.
I created and placed the foliage that covers the entire diorama, focusing on distribution, layering, and visual balance.
As part of the environment work, I also modeled a custom base to support the diorama and improve the overall presentation.

  • Lighting & Rendering:  Lighting, camera, and final rendering were done in Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on mood, lighting balance, and real-time presentation.

The complete project is available as an entry on The Rookies platform.
